Kitty Keep On Rockin’

I wrote my very first blog post for my Rock On Kitty website in 2015. The post announced my intention to self-publish my novelette Choose Your Own Death. What followed were ten years of rambling about my self-publishing misadventures, musing about the artists’ way and raving about books, writers and artists I admire. My decision to retire my Rock On Kitty website is not because I’m no longer interested in writing, reading and creativity. I’m now deeply invested in writing, and my passion to advocate for reading and writers led me to my day job as a librarian. Furthermore, my late life diagnosis of autism and ADHD caused a change to my creative daily practices to the point where I need a new website to reflect how my autistic-ADHD brain impacts how I tell stories. For those who followed Rock On Kitty, I hope you will continue to follow my creative journey here: mariannashek.com. It’s not a major pivot, just another fork in the road. Whatever happens, this kitty will keep on rockin’.
